Gift of Vision (March 2026) by Rotary Club Vadali Round Town

The Gift of Vision – Cataract Surgery Project is a community-focused healthcare initiative aimed at eliminating avoidable blindness caused by cataracts in rural and underserved areas of Sabarkantha district.

During March 2026, a total of 323 cataract surgeries were successfully performed. Out of these, 226 surgeries were provided completely free of cost to economically disadvantaged patients, ensuring that financial limitations did not prevent access to quality eye care. The remaining 97 surgeries were conducted under paid services, helping sustain and expand the initiative.

All surgeries were carried out using modern ophthalmic techniques by experienced eye specialists, ensuring safety, precision, and improved visual outcomes. Patients were also provided with pre-operative screening, post-operative care, and follow-up support to ensure complete recovery.

This initiative reflects Rotary’s core philosophy of “Service Above Self”, restoring not just eyesight but also dignity, independence, and quality of life for hundreds of individuals.

Through this project, 323 lives were positively transformed, enabling patients to return to their daily activities with renewed vision and confidence.

Under Rotary District 3055, the Rotary Club of Vadali Round Town proudly inaugurated advanced eye care equipment at the Sabarkantha Community Rotary Eye Care Centre, located at Vishwakalyan Society – Atmavallabh Hospital, Idar.
This project has been implemented under Rotary Global Grant GG-2688848, supported by The Rotary Foundation, with a total project cost of USD 36,491.

Ophthalmic Surgical Microscope

The inauguration ceremony was graced by generous donors Hansaben Vasantbhai Soni and Gangarambhai Patel (on behalf of Maheshbhai Patel).

These facilities will significantly enhance the quality of eye care services and enable affordable cataract surgeries for the community, contributing towards the prevention of avoidable blindness.

The Rotary Club of Vadali Round Town was honored to host the Official Visit of District Governor Nigambhai Chaudhari at Yogeshwar Jeening Plant, Vadali. The visit aimed to review the club’s service activities, discuss ongoing and upcoming projects, and strengthen Rotary’s vision and goals for the year.
The District Governor appreciated the club’s efforts in community service and encouraged members to continue impactful projects aligned with Rotary’s mission. Valuable guidance was provided on membership growth, foundation support, and effective project implementation.
The visit was highly motivating and inspiring for all members, reinforcing their commitment to “Service Above Self.”

Today, the Club’s Family Get-Together Program was successfully organized at Palanpur, with enthusiastic participation from a large number of Rotarian friends along with their families.

The program witnessed joyful involvement from all age groups—children, youth, and senior members—who thoroughly enjoyed the event from morning till afternoon. The atmosphere was filled with fellowship, laughter, and togetherness, making the gathering truly memorable.

This well-organized and delightful program was held with the kind courtesy and support of Dr. Yasin Polara, Secretary of the RC Vadali Round Town. His efforts played a key role in making the event a grand success and strengthening the spirit of Rotary fellowship among members and their families.

Installation Ceremony of the President and Office Bearers was held with great dignity and fellowship. The new team took the oath to uphold Rotary values and lead impactful service projects throughout the year.
