The Rotary Club of Vadali Round Town, in partnership with The Rotary Foundation, has successfully implemented two Rotary Global Grant projects—GG-2352975 and GG-2688848—at Vishvakalyan Society, Atmavallabh Hospital, Idar. These projects aim to provide comprehensive, accessible, and high-quality eye care services to the rural, tribal, and economically disadvantaged communities of North Gujarat.

Under Global Grant GG-2352975, four modern Vision Centers were established at Vadali, Khedbrahma, Vijaynagar, and Vasai. These centers offer comprehensive eye examinations, vision screening, refraction services, early diagnosis of eye diseases, and timely referral for advanced treatment, significantly improving access to primary eye care in remote areas.

Global Grant GG-2688848 further strengthened the hospital's eye care services by providing an advanced Operating Microscope and Phacoemulsification Machine. These state-of-the-art surgical systems enable safe, precise, and high-quality cataract surgeries, ensuring faster recovery and better visual outcomes for patients.

This humanitarian initiative was made possible through the generous support of The Rotary Foundation, the World Fund, and the District Designated Fund (DDF) of Rotary District 3055 (India). The project was implemented through the international partnership between the Rotary Club of Vadali Round Town (India) and the Rotary Club of Charlotte Hall (USA). Significant contributions from generous donors—Dr. Ilaben V. Shah, Hansaben V. Soni, Maheshbhai G. Patel, and Narsinhbhai K. Desai—played a vital role in making this project a reality.

Together, these two Global Grants have established a complete eye care infrastructure, ranging from community-based vision screening to advanced cataract surgery. The projects are restoring sight, preventing avoidable blindness, and transforming the lives of thousands of people across North Gujarat. They stand as a remarkable example of Rotary's commitment to "Service Above Self", bringing hope, dignity, and the priceless gift of vision to those in need.

Under Rotary District 3055, the Rotary Club of Vadali Round Town proudly inaugurated advanced eye care equipment at the Sabarkantha Community Rotary Eye Care Centre, located at Vishwakalyan Society – Atmavallabh Hospital, Idar.
This project has been implemented under Rotary Global Grant GG-2688848, supported by The Rotary Foundation, with a total project cost of USD 36,491.

These facilities will significantly enhance the quality of eye care services and enable affordable cataract surgeries for the community, contributing towards the prevention of avoidable blindness.

The Rotary Club of Vadali Round Town, in collaboration with The Rotary Foundation and generous international donors, successfully implemented Global Grant GG-2352975 to strengthen community eye care services across North Gujarat. Through this project, four permanent Vision Centers were established at Vadali, Khedbrahma, Vijaynagar, and Vasai under the management of Vishvakalyan Society – Atmavallabh Hospital, Idar. With a total project value of approximately USD 30,609, the grant significantly improved access to quality primary eye care for rural and tribal communities. The Vision Centers provide comprehensive eye screening, early diagnosis of eye diseases, distribution of spectacles, referral for cataract surgery, and regular follow-up care. The project has greatly reduced travel time and delays in treatment for thousands of patients while creating a sustainable community-based eye care network in underserved areas.
Implemented in 2023, Global Grant GG-2352975 laid a strong foundation for expanding eye care services in Sabarkantha District. The success of this initiative paved the way for future Rotary-supported projects, further strengthening the region's capacity to prevent avoidable blindness and improve the quality of life for thousands of people.
